Gingerbread House Decorating Contest! Presented by WOW (What’s On in Woodbury) Register your team/individual or family by December 11th.WOW invites gingerbread bakers and makers of all ages to participate in our 2nd Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest!  Get creative and show off your decorated masterpiece this holiday season! It’s time to get creative! Materials will not be provided so you can be as creative as you like in this community friendly competition. It can be a simple design, from a kit or homemade!Please include the name of your creation, the name of the builder, and your contact information.  The $5 registration fee will be collected and donated to the Community Services Council of Woodbury.Bring your completed Gingerbread House to the Woodbury Library by Sunday, December 12th.   Stop by the library from December 13th to 20th to  vote for your favorite!Prizes will be awarded in three categories: "Best in Show", "Most Creative", and "The Spirit of Woodbury". Winners will be chosen by popular vote.  Winner will be announced on WOW’s Facebook page by December 22.

Have you always wanted to try snowshoeing? Here’s your chance! Snowshoes available for you to borrow at the Woodbury Library!In an effort to give our patrons an opportunity to try something new and get outside, we are happy to announce that we have a limited number of adult and child sized snowshoes available to borrow to see if you like this outdoor sport.Get your library card ready, head to the Woodbury Library and borrow a pair of snowshoes for a 1-week period. 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM    2022 VIOLIN and VIOLA Virtual Private Lessons - PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS FALL Session 2 VIRTUAL
THESE CLASSES ARE VIRTUAL.The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.Note: These lessons are in six week sessions.  These classes are done virtually.

2:30 PM - 6:00 PM    2022 VIOLIN and VIOLA Virtual Private Lessons - PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS WINTER Session 1 VIRTUAL
THESE CLASSES ARE VIRTUAL.The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.Note: These lessons are in six week sessions.  These classes are done virtually.
