2024 Nonnewaug Flag Football

Nonnewaug Flag Football will kick off its season in September!
Offered as a program through Woodbury Parks & Recreation, Nonnewaug Flag Football is open to boys and girls in grades K-8 in Woodbury, Bethlehem, and surrounding communities. Nonnewaug Flag Football's mission is to promote fitness, sportsmanship, all through football activities and competitive games. Flag Football gives children the option to play football with the same fitness and competitive benefits of tackle football, but in a non-contact environment. Children learn a variety of positions and skill sets that can be carried on to other sports.

Mandatory Evaluations: Mandatory evaluations for all players including K-2 will be TBD. 

Practice: Will start after TBD.

Games: Schedule to be determined. Games on Sundays. Practice days will vary by coach. 

Game times:
Rookies Grades K-2 at 10:00am 
Junior Varsity Grades 3-5  at 10:00am 
Varsity Grades 6-8 at 11:00am 

Location: Hollow Park 

Coaches needed! Please contact us if interested. Will need to fill out Background check form available from Parks & Rec. 

Fee:  $135 for Woodbury and Bethlehem residents, $162 for non-residents

Nonnewaug Flag Football's mission is to promote fitness and teamwork for boys and girls in grades K-8 through fun and friendly football activities and games. Teams will practice 1-2 evenings per week based on field availability. Games will be played Sundays against other Nonnewaug Flag Football teams under a modified version of Flag Football's rules and guidelines. Team roster sizes will be kept small to give all kids maximum playing time.
